Supervising

Bermuda is too good to actually help to rebuild the ship. He's not the type to exert himself for the sake of others. He is, however, intent on being involved in some capacity, in order to have the ability to claim he helped anyway. As such, he has opted to supervise, intently watching over others as they go about doing the work he refuses to. He firmly believes it is enough to simply imagine himself helping with repairs!
