Snow-Sledding

Deill stared down at adelaide, his look blank and tired as he watched Adelaide bounce around him, his ear twitching slightly as he watched her. “WOAH WHERE’D YOU GET THOSE EARRINGS? OH WHAT’S YOU’RE CROW’S NAME! YOU HAVE SUCH PRETTY FUR!!” shouted Adelaide, pretty much vibrating with energy as she spewed question after question, asking Diell multiple different things all at once. Asuko, his crow, which was perched on his shoulder peered down at Adelaide, its head tilting to the side curiously as the little ball of energy bounced and rolled around. He wasn’t used to having such hyper children around him, that was for sure, so this was all a new experience for him, but he didn’t seem to mind watching her, considering it’d give leon time to work on the rings for Marina and Roxanne’s date that day.

He reached his paw over, gently placing it on Adelaide’s mouth, watching as she went silent at that. Once he was sure she wouldn’t start yelling again, he removed his paw, “Alright alright, I know you have a lot of questions, but lets settle down, Im sure we don’t wanna disturb anyone around us now do we?” He asked softly, his blank and tired gaze softening as he looked down at her, he always had a soft spot for children.

“Okay okay okay!!” Adelaide squealed, bouncing up and down as she stared up at him. “What are we gonna do today?? What do you got planned?? Are we gonna go to a park? A arcade? THE BEACH?!?!” She squealed again, hopping around in a circle as he sighed, shaking his head as his gaze shifted to Asuko, then  back to her. Asuko let out a confused squawk, its head still titled down at the two as it stayed perched on his shoulder.

“We’ll be going up the mountain today, I have brought a sled with me, as well as some winter gear for you, as where were going its very cold.” He said softly ,pulling them out from his bag, his ear flickering as his earrings gently swayed from his movements, as he carefully put the hat and mittens onto Adelaide, making sure she was all snug and warm. “There we go…Now don’t take those off, alright? Don’t want you catching a cold while we’re up there.”

“YAY YAY YAY!! I love sledding!!” She squealed again, hopping up and down as she bolted after him, watching as he grabbed the nearby sled, gently placing her on top of it as he grabbed the rope attached to it, and began to gently drag it with her on it. He made sure not to bump into anything on the way up the large snowy mountain, and once they were up there, he climbed on, making sure not to fall off himself. “Alright, are you ready? Hold on to the front as tight as you can okay?” He said softly, watching as she nodded, happily squealing as she grabbed onto the front of the sled. He started to slowly push with one of his legs, slowly moving over to the edge of the hill. With one final push, the sled fell forward and onto the side of the mountain, sliding down the hill towards the bottom. Adelaide happily squealed the whole way down, pretty much vibrating with excitement as the sled went down. At the very bottom, the sled hit a huge bump of snow, causing the both of them to fall forward and into a snow pile. He slowly crawled out of the pile, shaking the snow off of his body, as he started to dig around for Adelaide, panic seeping through his expression, but soon faded when he watched her pop out from the snow, happily giggling as she jumped out, bouncing up and down in place. “THAT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! AGAIN AGAIN!!” She squealed, happily dancing in place as she shook the snow off her fur, smiling up at him. His gaze softened more, nodding gently , a small smile gracing his expression. They were in for a whole lot of fun that day sledding up and down that mountain!
