Dean lay on the couch of the home he shared with Spencer and a few of their friends, reading a book. Apparently, Spencer and Blaise had left the house after claiming that few other water creatures had made a big deal about some huge event that was happening on social media, so they went to go investigate. From the sound of it, there weren't many details given online about what was happening, so Dean wasn't really sure what to expect when his brother and Blaise returned, but he knew he would learn the truth as soon as they returned.

"Dean!" A loud crash scared Dean, causing him to flinch, as Spencer burst through the door. He skipped excitedly over to his brother, wagging his tail with excitement. "Dean! There you are! Have you heard the news?"

"Hmm?" Dean glanced up from his book, studying his brother's reactions and emotions carefully. "By your reaction I can tell it was something good. What happened?"

"I'm surprised you haven't heard," Spencer chuckled. "Everyone's talking about it! Marina and Roxanne are getting married!"

"Well of course he hasn't heard," Blaise teased, entering the room behind Spencer. "He never pays attention to anything besides his book." At this Dean rolled his eyes with a slight smile. It is true that he is constantly reading, but this is something the others often tease him about, and they know better to assume that he doesn't actually care about the other creatures around him. Knowing this, Blaise continued, "No but seriously, we just got back Spencer, cut him some slack."

"You're right, you're right." Spencer giggled, letting himself calm down from the excitement. "But still! I wish you could have seen it! They way proposed to each other was so adorable! It sucks that things didn't work out between me and Asuna so I won't have something like that happen to me anytime soon but," Spencer shrugged. "I'm happy for them! After all these years, it's exciting to see them take this next huge step!"

So he's still thinking about Asuna, huh? Dean thought, glancing back at his book. It had been months, even years, since they broke up. Dean had no idea Spencer still thought about her. Was he hung up on her? Or did the proposal just cause him to start thinking about her again because he's single? Those were details he would have to ask about later, he didn't want to risk embarrassing his brother by bringing it up in front of Blaise. But then again, getting flustered was never really Spencer's thing, huh? Only his partners could make him get like that.

"Do you think we'll get to be invited to the wedding?" Blaise wondered aloud.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they just wanted to keep it between them and their friends," Spencer sighed. "I mean, could you imagine getting married in front of thousands of other creatures? Sounds like a lot of unnecessary pressure if you ask me."

"I guess that's true," Blaise chuckled. "I guess we'll just have to see, huh?"

"And don't get so hung up on the Asuna thing, Spencer." Dean piped up. "You'll find someone. And even if you don't, you can be happy on your own."

Spencer's ears perked at this, and then smiled gently. "Oh yeah, I know. I was just reminiscing is all, don't worry about me!"

Dean smiled, turning back to his book.
