THE BIG PROPOSAL!
Admittedly, Harper was pretty exhausted from the days work. After running around searching for Marina's ambiguous missing gift, the crushing news that the gift was no longer in the box, and the mad dash to find ores to make a new one, Harper would have been hard pressed as it was. Surprisingly, the easiest part of the whole day was helping watch after little Adie. Harper had grown pretty fond of the little cat in their time together, and she really didn't consider herself much of a kid person.
Even through the exhaustion though, and even knowing that the gift was, in fact, a ring, getting to see the two propose to each other was beyond exciting. Harper had been nearly moved to tears at their exchange, and the pure love shared between the two. Ten years was such a long time! After all, her and Zoey had only been together for seven!
Wait....Zoey....
Harper was stuck in a stunned silence for a second. She had never even really thought about marriage, content to live with her beautiful witch girlfriend and their bees, but after seeing the two of them it really made her wonder what it might be like to get married. After all, she loves love, and what better way to celebrate her love for Zoey than a proposal and wedding? But they had only been together for seven years while Marina and Roxanne had been together for ten. Did that mean it was too soon? Well, she certainly couldn't propose anytime soon anyway. Even if she could get a ring quickly, she wouldn't dare seem like she was trying to over shadow the newly engaged couple. No, this was their time to shine, she would definitely at least wait until they had their chance to fully celebrate.
That being said, getting a ring is no small feat. She couldn't imagine how much time it would have taken Marina to save up for one, let alone pick one out! Oh, how awful it must have felt to lose something so precious. She had to take a moment to appreciate her friends really, without them who knows how this whole ordeal would have turned out. She couldn't ask for a better group of people to be able to count on in times like this, and to celebrate with as well. She thought to herself, she had to get them something to thank them for sure. Maybe some flavored honey treats made fresh from her hive....
Snapping back into reality, Harper realized she had been lost in thought for so long that most people had already begun to leave so the two lovers could enjoy some time alone. She had no idea it had already been so long. Springing to her feet she immediately headed for home. Her exhaustion was hitting her once more now that she was moving and she wanted nothing more than a warm cup of lavender lemon tea with honey and the embrace of the one she loves the most.
