Entering the ocean overlook, Caius wasn't sure what to expect this warm summer afternoon. The day started off normal, wake up, big stretch and morning jog. Having sufficiently done the former and now ready for his morning stroll Caius made his way outside. Taking a peek in his mailbox Caius sees a singular pink letter. Turning the letter over to see who the sender was there was nothing there. Puzzled by mystery letter, he ripped it open and glanced over its contents 'hide the letter from Marina, and meet at the ocean overlook at 12 pm on the dot... don't be late'. Confused but intrigued there was no way he wasn't going to show up for the summons. He wasn't particularly close to Marina but knows she is well liked amongst the community. As Caius arrived at the spot marked on the letter, he noticed a crowd of other water folk buzzing with excitment. Hopping up the nearest tree to get a better view of the area, Caius hoped he would see maybe some familiar faces in the crowd. Near the middle of the crowd he spotted his friends Triton, Raphael, Kin and his little sister Astra. Hopping down Caius made his way through the crowd to them, ducking and weaving against the increasing crowd of water folk. Having finally made it to them, Caius gave a simple greeting to Triton, Raphael and Kin and ruffled his sisters fur. "Hey guys guessing you all recieved that weird note this morning too right?", asked Caius with a tilt of his head. "Yeah it was super strange, can't fault anyone for being curious enough to want to see what it's about" said Triton. "I bet its gonna be a battle royal, or some type of competition", exclaimed Raphael excitedly. "Or maybe its an ambush, I mean why else would they gather us all here in one place like this", speculated Kin. "Orrrrr its just something super normal and not weird or crazy", reasoned Astra. Not really sure which one he thought would be the most likely, Caius decides not to throw his own wild theory into the ring. A few more minutes pass before a loud "QUIET EVERYONE", rings over the overlook. Everyone immediately quiets down and turn towards the sound of the voice. It was none other then Roxanne standing tall and strong in front of the huge crowd, along with Marina. "Wait werent we not supposed to tell Marina about this get together", shouted a random waterdog in the crowd. Before the chatter can start up again Roxanne turns to Marina and sits on her two hind legs a small box in her paws. "Marina my belovedm, will you marry me?", asked Roxanne a slight blush now tinting her face. Marinna shocked turns away not giving Roxanne a response. Everyone gasps in shock at the reaction, not sure what to do. But just as fast as she turned away Marinna has a small box in her paws as well. "NO! Thats not fair Roxxie you were supposed to let me propose to you first", shouted Marinna with her tail wagging wildly. The couple burst out laughing at the wild coindidence, feeling silly and joyful at the same time. Seeing the exchange you couldn't help but cheer and be happy for them. It was known by everyone how much Marinna and Roxanne loved each other, it was just shocking how long it took. Not being in a relationship yourself you can't help but feel a slight tint of envy. You take a peek over at Triton and blush a little bit. Maybe this is the year you fianlly confess.
