Astrid is a timid necromancer with a raven familiar and a deceptively calm personality. She often participates in her sister Aryn's questionable experiments, but is the more level-headed of the two.

Aryn is a mad scientist with a rat companion and an excitable personality. She is driven and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals, even if it means breaking laws or physics. Aryn is known for releasing "free-range" test subjects back into the wild after conducting experiments on them.
Aryn has a rivalry with Evelyn, though it is one-sided.

Both sisters have a troubled past and avoid discussing it, but are known to have a hatred for demons and only associate with neutral or good magic users. They both have scars on their necks from wearing chains in the past.
