Smith is the First Echilon of Airadice, focusing on helping any Dog or Cat residing there no matter the personal cost. He still believes The Fringe can be saved, which has put him in conflict with Lex on many an occasion. While Smith believes he can save anyone if he tries hard enough, Lex believes that sometimes it's best to let it go. The mostly peaceful natures of both Dogs, however, usually lead to them seeking compromise instead of fighting over new statutes.
