Trait List Updates!
Posted 9 months ago :: Last edited 9 months ago by AlienOddityHello everybody! I know that some of you have noticed that we've recently added a "- DISCONTINUED" descriptor to a handful of trait listings on the masterlist. We are still discussing trait listings and ways to help further clean up and clarify the masterlist, but here's the current run down.
As per our recent community poll, you guys have voted to remove the following color-specific traits
- Tan Sand
- Non-Tan Sand
These two traits are being combined into simply "Standard Sand" while "Unnatural Sand" will remain as it's own trait, but will only apply for sand with unnatural properties (such as glowing or metallic markings) and not be affected by colors.
Designs with the Unnatural Sand trait due to colors will be compensated with a Rare Treat. This will happen at a later date, as we are still going through the masterlist and discussing traits. Rest assured, everybody will be compensated for them appropriately!
- Red Water
- Black Water
- Gray Water
- White Water
These traits are now being combined into "Standard Water" along with any other color, with the sole exception to this being "Rainbow Water" which we will be discussing further to help clarify that trait more.
Any characters with these traits will be compensated with a Rare Treat per each trait. This will happen at a later date, as we are still going through the masterlist and discussing traits. Rest assured though, everybody will be compensated for them appropriately!
- Long Sand Socks
- Short Sand Socks
- Sand Toes
These three traits are now being condensed into simply "Sand Socks".
- Complex Screen Face
Being combined back into "Screen Face."
- Missing Eyes (the trait due to injuries, not to be confused with No Eyes)
- Missing Appendages
We are axing these traits entirely, as disabilities should not be something that we feel should be traited.
We are also making a change to the "Breed Specific Body" trait!
We will no longer require the use of customs to add in new body types. If the breed is something that exists in real life, you are welcome to use it regardless if it has been something done before in the species.
We are still discussing traits such as the eye specific traits, and anything else we feel could use condensing, clarification or being removed entirely. Please be patient with us as we continue working on everything, and thank you for your continued patience and support!
