Traits
Snow (Rare)
Instead of sand, a waterdog has snow in its place.
This trait can be paired with sand as well and does not need to take up its entirety.
Snow that takes the place of sand must have some visual indication of being snow (texture, sparkles in the snow, rounder shapes/snow sheet, etc.)
Snow is by default white but can be dyed. Dyed snow must ressemble dye in snow and cannot have sharp edges and should be blended in some way. Dyed snow must also have a visual indication that's not sand. Additionally, dye is treated as markings and to make it color changing you would need color changing sand.
Please see the section below for a full visual guide.
NOTE: This trait is specifically for designs with the intent of having snow. You DO NOT need this trait for just white sand
[Image ID/Transcript: [6 different examples of snow on waterdogs with different aspects of the trait highlighted. Some of the details are smaller and might need zooming in]
Snow on a waterdog’s back should resemble snow by being either rounder like snow, having texture, or snow sparkles.
When a large section or all of the dog’s sand is snow, it is required that there’s some visual indication it’s snow not sand. This can be through snow sparkles (left), texture (right), or distinct snowy shapes (bottom left).
Snow can be dyed, however, like liquid dye in snow, the edges cannot be sharp and must be blended in some way, again to distinguish from sand patterns. Dyed snow must also maintain some indication it’s snowed Dyed snow counts as markings, not accessories, and would need color changing if you wanted different variants of dye colors or dyed areas/markings

Color-Changing Water (Legendary)
Color-Changing Water allows you to have limited* alternate water colorations for your Waterdog!
- By adding this legendary to your waterdog, you can have up to a default of 5 water color variations upon the initial addition of the trait (this includes the original watercolor.)
- A Rainbow Water Ticket is still needed as an add-on trait if you are using rainbow water (if the character doesn't already have that trait.)
- After the designs initial approval, an additional Two more variants may be added through the use of a Water Color Changer Ticket AND/OR a Water Change Bucket.
- Designs that exceed the 7 maximum limit may only be gained through the Sea Breeze Salon at this time, or via an Any Color Water / Any Color Sand Ticket.
- Like ‘Any-Color Changing Sand’- ‘Any Color Changing Water’ can only be gained through the Sea Breeze Salon (or Self-Breeds if a parent has the trait) and additionally has extra restrictions placed on the use IF it is paired with ‘Any Color Changing Water’.
- If a waterdog has split water in addition to Color Changing Water, the Waterdogs split design is also allowed to optionally change water on it’s own AND/OR can change places/shapes [examples below.]
- Waterdogs who have Matching Eye Color to Water do NOT need the Color Changing Eye trait if the WD also has color changing water, which changes the eyes at the same time. (Additionally, notes must be added onto the masterlist IF the WD does NOT have Matching Eye Color to Water, as the eyes are not allowed to be the same color as the water!)

Bioluminescent Water (Rare)
Special plankton in a Waterdog’s water that makes it glow!
The spots that glow are bright in color and be certain sections/spots if you wish (as long as it is not replicating split-water). The glow can be turned on/off.
Split Water (Rare)
Water colors and/or shapes that abruptly change the color of the normal water gradient colors! This can often be seen as sections of the water having completely different colors or distinct shapes in the water.
- Split water can be paired with color-changing water! This allows the split water to “move” and “change shape” with different color options.
Split water can come in all variants, whether it's a half-and-half type (example 1,) or something more like like specific shapes (example 2,) or "markings" in the water (example 3.)
